Team Durango DEX8T

I wish it was that easy... on the Arrma Talion, the front and rear drive shaft don't have the same measurement as the DEX8T... so I don't know if the difference is made up in the cups to pinion gear, or if the entire front, mid and rear diffs need to be replaced to talion. I was hoping someone already did the conversion from D to T or T to D to give me some pointers.
that's why the center driveshafts are different lengths: 116/135mm for Talion/Kraton, 107/123mm for DEX8T.
Have you tried finding 107/123 mm driveshafts from other brands? Might be worth the try.

ok, I did a bit of research....
It seems the SAVAGE X SS has heavy duty 9X 123mm axle dogbones.
I just need to find out if these dogbones can fit in my center diff cup and I have to find a replacement rear and front diff cup that can attach to my pinion gear via a set screw and fit the Savage dogbone.
Anyone happen to have SAVAGE X SS dogbones and a DEX8T? LOL!
Making progress!

to be honest your best bet may be to see if you can mount another brand center diff setup. I know guys did this kind of conversion with the DEX8, and I think even M2C made a chassis so you could do this too (or at least eliminated the sliding motor mount).
The quality of the diff cups that were used was not very good for the stock stuff. I had heard of something using longer pins to help with the wear.
hope that helps. Running a vehicle that will not be supported any longer that has wear issues can be tough.

I was lucky that found a used M2C center diff mount a few weeks ago

Does anyone know if the dex8t shares parts with another platform? I hear Mugen but curious to what extent they have common parts.

The Arrma Talion truggy and Kraton truggy are cheaper versions of the Durango. They share a lot of parts. They are basically the same car but the Durango used 7075 aluminum chassis, shock towers etc... Where as the Arrma versions had cheaper cast aluminum parts and more plastic.

From what I understand, most of the front suspension is more or less a direct swap with the Mugen 7 line. I don't know about the rear. Also, the diff internals, and F/R diff outdrives are a direct swap. I don't think the diff ring/pinion or center diff outdrives are a fit, but I don't know for sure.
