thats a shame. That is pretty much where I would be putting my money on. A quality handle don't get me wrong is good to have etc, but I find most of the time as long as its comfortable in the hand, I want a tip that is of a quality that it lasts. my MIP driver has done that. Surprisingly the Integy gold tip hex drivers worked really well too. These AE ones I have right now, not that impressed. had to trim the tip twice now on the 5/64 and once on the 2.5mm to get it to bite properly.

The only gripe I have with the mip tools are the handle sizes. If they would take the 2.5 mm handle size and put on all their drivers they would be perfect.that being said,I might have to pick up a set of the tek is to try out.

sorry to bring up an old thread but I am thinking about getting some new tools to replace my AE ones.

Any recent opinions on the Tekno tools, in particular the new 3 pack?

I like tools that have a pass thru on the handle so that is why I am considering these over MIP.

I have the full Tekno set and am still very happy I bought them. They have actually updated the hex heads for more durability and if you wreck 'em they will replace it for free. I really like that they are adjustable too, sometimes I need more reach and it's nice to be able to extend the driver/hex out.

So to update this I got a set on the way. With amain now taking towers discounts I figured about $15 a tool isn't bad if they are quality. For my needs, I need a pass thru on the handle, and this looked like it fit my needs.

I will report back what I find. Plan to do some dissassembly and reassembly of a hot bodies D413 so you can imagine it will get some work (actually, my daughter will do a lot of it so she knows the ins and outs of her vehicles)

Does Tekno say they will replace it for free? I have two that have twisted. I replaced one and just noticed the other.

I use MIP drivers only. But I don't get someone saying they don't wear out. I've been through three 2mm ones. Not complaining just fact, everything wears out.If the Tekno drivers last at least as long as the MIPs, I'd use them because of the replaceable tips and nicer handles.

Anyone used both and info?

I have gotten them to match coupons no prob, only one of the reps mentioned in passing how they weren't to do the special tower member coupons but still did it anyway. This includes coupons listed on the website, special coupons (like $10 off $50 that is what I used) and members ones.
