If you are going to run 3S LiPo I would recommend a Castle 1415 (2400KV) motor or a Novak 7.5 turn Ballistic 550, either with a Mamba Max Pro or a Hobbywing SCT Pro. I have the Novak and MMP in my electric CRT.5. I'm using a 14T pinion with the standard size spur.

If you are going to be running 1/10th scale size wheels & tires (2.2 truck or 2.2/3.0 SCT) then you can use anything that would be appropriate for a 4WD SCT. There's tons of choices. If you want to buy new, a Hobbywing XERUN SCT Pro and 4000KB 3656 motor would be excellent. If you want used, you can find good deals on a Novak Ballistic 550 4.5T or 5.5T along with a GTB ESC. A Castle SCT combo with the 1410 motor and Sidewinder ESC would work too.

If you are going to use bigger tires, then a bigger motor would be called for, a Pro4HD, a T8I, or something similar. The Ballistic 550 would probably work too.
