hey guys
picked up a nice used KF2 SE recently, and had my first outing with it today.

Anyone got a setup sheet for packed, low grip dirt with some jumps??
also, I'm sure this has been asked, but I could not find it.
running the low grip configuration, how on earth do you get the shorty pack in and out???

thanks

Ok! sounds like you have it in low grip setup! You need to trim down the right side guard to get the battery in-out. You also need the MM configuration (Mid Motor) and if you can mount ESC at right rear! There are pics showing all above in this thread. Hope that helped some!

If you are running on low grip dirt, I would recommend putting it in the MM position (motor all the way back), this allows the rotation of the motor to help produce additional rear traction. Move the rear shocks to the back of the arms, but you'll need to get the rear transmission upper alloy housing for that. Also, flip your front arms, this will give you a bit longer wheel base.

To get the LiPo in and out in the low grip config, you will need to shave down a section on the side pod to allow the battery to slide in and out.

KD is gear driven, so a bunch of no on that.

There is a unique part number for the KC ball diff, so guessing that there is a subtle difference from prior models. The OG K1 came with ball diffs and this will also fit the K2, KF & KF2.

No, the KD and KC have a smaller diameter diff.

Since the belt pitch appears to be the same for the KF2 and KC, how many teeth are on the new diff pulley U4997?

If memory serves, U4196 has 36 teeth.

Also, is the offset of the pulleys (U4196 and U4997) or the assembled diffs (U4199 and U4996) the same?

So im looking to buy possibly a KF2 buggy for our local indoor track that mainly consists of dirt and clay. We manily run AE and TLR but it would be nice to run something totally different. Would this be a good investment or shall i just look for a KD buggy?

Thanks!

The KD will be an easier buggy to get set up for that surface. If folks are using lay down trans on the AE or TLR, you may want to cisider the KC.

I ran mine in mid motor (motor all the way back) and it was awesome with (Michael O's setup). I bet it would be great in the low traction config as well. I will actually be trying that set up soon.

Here is the setup he's referring to:

Schumacher Cougar KF2 - Michal Orlowski - 2016 oOple Race - Robon Hood Raceway - 06-07.08.2016

If your track isn't bumpy then go with the kit pistons Front and Rear (1.5x3, 1.6x3) and drop 50 Cst in oil. (500 Front, 350 Rear). Make sure your tires are right and you'll be in the ballpark.

Will the wide track conversion work on a kf2 se ? I'm running into a issue with rims and may have to go to a thinner hex and use the wide track kit to bring it back to normal width
