Default engine advice...

Im in the process of buying a new engine for my buggy but just cant seem able to make up my mind..I have about $250 Im willing to spend....so Im hopeing you guys could help make my mind up. Im thinking of the following engines...

-o.s. v-spec(but dont like that I have to by turbo plugs..Id have to get them off the net cus lhs dont carry them)

-o.s. rg (extremely low price...I could have enough for Nova Race cooling head left over..maybe even a new pipe)

-rb ws7II

-rb s5 (havent heard many reviews on this one)

you guys have any experience with any of these motors?

You cant go wrong with an rb engine. But hard to beat a good ole P5 should be able to get a stock one for around your price. They are extremely easy to tune and last.
Dont overlook the Collari 3 port or 7 port i have heard good things from them. The best advice i can give you is stay away from made in Japan stick with the italians.

the collari b7 would fall right in your budget, that motor is really good. If you look hard enough, you can find them for 250 or less on ebay

I'd go with either the V-spec motor or the Collari motor. Most of the guys that i race with at a track in Madison, WI run those two motors. The O.S. is a little more expensive, but i think it has a little more punch the the Collari has..but both will be mad fast for ya.

Go with a P-5,and get a 053 or JP-2 pipe.

Collari,Carbs have little probs,Fast motor,Pipe-O.S. 2050

V-Spec,Front bearing leaks,Need to get a Novarossi front bearing if you go with a V-Spec,Fast motor.

I run a P-5,My dad uses a Collari B-7,and our buddy uses a V-Spec.I think the P-5 holds the best tune.

My friend runs the B3 It is the fastest 3port you will see. IT my not top out like the b7, but it has lots of low end punch. THe carb is not as good as the B7 but a put on a OS RG carb and your set.
