Default Cool combo recommendations

Hi. New member here. Ive only ever had sensorless combos and been ok with that, but want to step it up and go Sensored. For my TLR 22T stadium truck, what would be a decent combo and pinion size that would keep everything cool. From reading a gabillion threads already I think I'll go with Hobbywing as reviews say there good without costing as much as higher brands.
I mainly bash. But will be starting racing against 2wd sct when I get suitable combo.
Thanks

That's hard to say

I'm currently running a 10.5t and the 4 gear on medium grip and with whatever tires work great at your track, I would guess that you will be just fine. I'm on M3 Holeshots on 70-80 degree days and happy as a clam.

All I did was throw the low frequency springs on (on the lighter side of the kit) for rear traction and to create a little bit of roll to bite into the turn and settle down some bounciness. I also tipped the shocks all the way in.

Thanks for the info! I'm also using a 4 gear tranny and m3 or m4 holeshots at medium sized outdoor track in FL. My st handles well; I run AE 32.5wt shock oil & green springs in the front w/ AE 27.5wt oil & silver in the rear.

My st isn't in this video it's just for your viewing pleasure http://youtu.be/duPPiz0g72A

I'll prob install the 3 gear tranny at indoor, high grip track w/ a 17.5t motor

Your local track lets you race Stadium Trucks against Short Course Trucks? That's awesome for you and not so awesome for them

Well if you grab some footage of the 22T 2.0 running on the big track it would be cool to see.

What do you TLR faithful that pay close attention think will be coming in the 3.0 kit in the future? What changes might they make and what issues do you think will be addressed?

I still think the 3.0 is a long way off, but I would suspect and change similar to the 22 3.0 chassis.

SO, variable length front arms, shorty battery facing forward to back or sideways, some rear end changes that are allowed by ditching the rear motor option?

Will do! I use a RM config when it's loamy and bets around pretty well, see pic below. When traction improves then I is use MM. My MOD MM exotek 22sct 2.0 is very fun to drive this track..

Hopefully the 3.0 comes with a freshly designed body. It's time for a refresh already they been using that body for way too long. Pretty please frank.

Are there any aftermarket companies that make a drastically different body for these things? Seems like the creativity would be pretty limited in this division.
