The one from the buggy will only get you to 25 degrees of kick with that insert. The 22T kit setting is 30 degrees and what most people run. So yes part tlr1072 will work but will change the kick angle. Tlr1105 is the aluminium part for 30 degree that doesn't use any additional shims.

As for what reducing kick will do I think there is a decent write up on tlr's website blog. May have to search back a ways.

On my scale the stock 30 plastic part is 9 grams. The buggy alum with plastic 25 shim is 16 and the alum 30 is 17. I run the alum 30 on both rear and mid motor. I think the extra weight in front helps the mid motor turn a little better. I don't notice as much in rear motor.

Maybe a little setup tuning, and some advice on how to set the slipper, diff, bleed shocks, etc.[/QUOTE

Hi I'm new to racing and have only the 22T at this stage with a couple of 2.0 parts. Can you link a post or give me a little advice on the above. I've looked on YouTube how to build and set ball diff and slipper, but bleed shocks? What do you mean there.
So can you tune the diff and slipper to suit my own driving style. If so, how will I know lol. Outside track. Loose if you get of race line.

Thanks

Frank, I just noticed the 3 gear gearbox has been released and noticed the larger aluminum idler gear. Is the trans ratio still 2.43 with this gearbox?

Ratio will be the same, the idler size doesn't affect gearing.

We have a 3-gear tranny for the 22 2.0 vehicles (included the 22T 2.0 and 22SCT 2.0) that will release in May 2016. It included the motor plate, tranny cases, water fall, spacer, and an aluminum idler. Get one on back order today!
