Neither...that part must be used with a kick shim to get the desired angle. There are 20, 25 and 30 degree kick shims available.

Viking Design Works makes side pods allowing you to mount your batteries sideways. They also make a 3 gear tranny and other parts for TLR.

That pivot works with the 20 and 25 deg kick shims.

Not true, there is no 30 deg kick shim, and you'll need the molded or aluminum 30 deg pivot.

Thanks for the correction Frank! I was thinking I had seen a 30 deg shim, but I guess I remembered wrong.

Sorry, I don't know anything about their side pods. I only knew the website, because I have been considering their 3 gear transmission and an Exotek chassis ever since I started running my 3.0 buggy.

if you click on the 3gear tranny link there are pictures of the battery kit. they have a complete kit that comes with a new waterfall, battery post and strap , along with mudguards to hold the shorty pack in sideways. for $55 or $35 for just the mudguards. I bought a set of the mudguards for my truck and get to test tomorrow.
would be faster and more info on the Facebook page.

If you are running mid motor and on a high bite surface you may not notice much as some 2.0 setups reduce droop / stroke.

You will also need longer turnbuckles and use the HD ball cups. When you say rear axels you actually need the longer drive shafts and axel. You don't need the hinge pins but the threaded versions on the hubs are much better for servicing than the 1.0 with the clips. Don't forget the 22 SCT hexes.

Really if you can get $100 for your 1.5 roller you will be money ahead selling it and buying a new kit.
Thank you for the info.

This is all exactly correct.

Erik, the owner of Viking Design Works is an awesome guy. He'll respond quickly and directly to Facebook messages. I have the side pods on my 22T, they mounted up quickly, look great, and the truck works awesome!!
