With the exotek esc tray and the rm battery holder, shorties fit pretty well in mid-motor configuration.

I cant show you pic's of my 22T because I am experimenting with smaller batteries right now. But here are the picks from the kit manual and this is what I used with lots of clearance and actually needed a small rubber spacer.

The front piece that goes in front of the battery, I dremel it down a bit. Still tight but works.

I was using their mounting system before I made the full chassis switch. The best mod I made to the truck hands down. Very high quality stuff.

For me it gave more forward bite and didn't lose any steering. I used the same set-up on both chassis'.

I'm in the middle of moding my truck to side ways battery now. Is that the only difference between the TLR and Exotek truck ??

yes but modifying the 2.0 chassis to run sideways shorty turns it into a wet noodle. the exotek chassis is slightly stiffer than the stock 22t chassis. for me it increased forward traction and i have slightly better steering response

I'm not cutting the the chassis just the plastic side rails.
