+1. Ran them yesterday at my local track (indoor clay, medium bite). No traction issues at all.

Probably continue using these until the Dirtweb drought is over.

I'm digging the ChainLinks as well. I'd like to see more AKA tires offered for stadium trucks, but these are some of the best I found. I also like running the old BK Bars if you can find some pink or red compound.

On a bit of a related note (maybe for Frank or another team member): Does TLR ever plan on re-entering the tire market? I loved the Team Losi Racing Tires back in the day and it's a bummer that they aren't around any more. I'm no business expert but I think there would definitely be a market for another tire manufacturer; especially seeing how import a role tires play with the new super-high-grip conditions we race on now. Competition is good for innovation!

We have no plans to. Ultimately, we didn't have the resources to put into the tire program to keep it at [or near] the top.

Thanks, Frank. I appreciate the honest response. I figured when the team lost Brian Kinwald and Gil Jr. that there wasn't enough "tire team" to keep it going.

Hi there,

I have a small question about the king pins and the hinge pins of the 22T:

- could you please tell me the length and the diameter of the hinge pin (part no.: TLR2056)

- and the same measurements for the king pins (part no.: TLR1043)

I guess the threads are 3mm (M3)?

Thanks a lot for your help,
Regards,
G-rem

It wasn't that really, it was the effort we put into the unsuccessful 1/8 tire program cost us a lot of time and resources, and really compromised our racing results for a while as well. It was a big learning experience and we came out of it with a new focus on chassis development and racing.

Can anyone suggest a good gear ratio for my22t. After a 5 min race the temp was 125 degrees. The truck seemed flat like it the top speed was to slow or it didn't get there quick enough. The ratio is stock right now 23/82. Should I go a couple teeth bigger on the spur or go down on the pinion. Also this is a 22t rtr. Any upgrade parts you think I should order when I order the gears?

I run 25/78. I have run high and lower but this seems to be the best (for me) on the short and long tracks.

Hi,
I've just bought the bellcranks for my 22T 1.0, I got the correct hubs, etc, but I forgot the 70mm HD turnbuckles.
I wouldn't normally worry, but I didn't realise the new HD ball cups had a larger hole.
If I was to run original straight ballcups, on the inner where normally the offset cup goes would this be a really noticeable change, or do I really need to track the correct turnbuckles down?
The ones I've ordered are back ordered...

Cheers

You will want to use the 70mm turnbuckle with offset hd ball cups. Otherwise the turnbuckles will hit the springs sooner and give you less steering throw. The part is TLR6065. They are in stock at amain. If you are converting a 1.0 there are some good posts in the 1.0 thread. I would also recommend downloading the 2.0 manual.

The turnbuckle will hit the spring some. You can run it that way, but it'll be better to use the angled ball cup when you're able.

Thanks for everyones replies. I've been offered to lend a set until my ordered ones arrive.
I'm in the process of talking the wife into why I need a 2.0. But having only recently coming back to TLR/Losi after almost 7 years, the recent purchases of 22 2.0 x3, 22-4, 22T, and a TLR 8ight E.....it's hard..lol
thanks again!
