I hear ya, just not a fan of SCT but I do agree should have said make room for ST and yes I'm all about promoting all racing classes, the more the better. But I'm still annoyed since SCT came into the mix ST died out.

Death to short course trucks?

Yeah, lets kill off the only segment of the hobby bringing in new people.

The intellectual prowess of the people on this site is downright amazing at times.

But honestly there are a lot of guys like me that have already have a near 22T 2.0 since we have upgraded with 22 2.0 and 22 sct 2.0 parts. So the amount left over to spend is the rear arms, rear cvd bones, rear sct hexs, fronts spindles. Far cheaper than $299 for me to upgrade than start all over.
Agree with this... most of us already have most of the 22 2.0 parts and cranks. I'll do the 22SCT 2.0 parts, chassis, arms, spindles... tranny is already bulletproof (MIP & caged bearings), I will probably not do the SCT shocks (already have 2.0 parts).

BUT... I will also get the 2.0 truck so that I have a RM and MM truck!

Unless like me you already have most stuff already. Only draw for a new chassis is the 2.5mm screw for the rear suspension block. Chassis in milled 10 grams lighter, not enough of a change for me to upgrade. Have plenty of 2.0 parts already from spare 22 2.0 cars. I expect it to cost a little over $100.00 to convert, and I bought the truc, used in excellent shape for $140.00. Still will not cost as much as a kit.

I don't actually believe it should die off. I think SCT should be relegated to a "beginners class only" type thing. Of course, I've thought that since the beginning of the class. I think the whole "budget" and "easier to drive/maintain" aspect of SCT is what made it so great to begin with, but that whole vision got lost when it became a pro class with racing kits etc. It should have stayed a box-stock beginner's class. That's what made it great.

Sorry, not trying to butcher the thread. Just didn't want to leave a bad message.

suspension and tuning is way different. Just compare a setup sheet.

I had a hard time giving up my xxx-t mf but the difference is night and day.

Not a ST fan at all, but congrats to all the folks that will pick one up and enjoy the class.

good at least they included both rm and mm parts, cause that kinda sucks that you have to spend almost $400 on the sct to build it mid

Since getting a SCT, I still rather drive my T2.

It's a better vehicle all around.

Anyone know what battery configuration works with this truck? Square, Saddle, shorty or stick type lipo.

I agree with this...It's like making T-Ball a major league sport. It was designed to get people interested in the hobby but most people got stuck in it. Plus, it killed the Stadium truck class, so I'll always resent the SCT class.

I'd imagine it is just like the rest of the 22 kits. Saddle, shorty and stick. Sticks would only fit in the RM config.
