I have to ask...I have seen several photos of team drivers cars now and why are they removing the rear bumper? Sorry, new to Yok.

That is to reduce the overhang in the rear.
At some steep corner tables the rear end hits the ground and could upset the car a little. Mostly when driving up sideways to jump it.
Thats why Asso guys shortened the front on the B5M in Japan 2years ago.

I cuttet the rear bumper flush with the chassis.
The reason is easy to test, lift up the front of the car on a table till the bumper hits the table, I will be less than 90°. When you cut the rear bumper flush, the rear will never touch the table and therefore also not on the track!

New Yokomo 2WD cars are coming:
January 2018:
- YZ-2 DTM WC Edition (limited)

March 2018:
- YZ-2 DTM-2 (Less alu parts as the WC included)
- YZ-2 CA-2 (New version for Carpet)
Both cars will have an improved steering (more linear) and an all new battery mounting system (no more a carbon plate)

Any idea how much different the CA will be from the DTM? Gear diff and springs / pistons? More?

IM assuming it will have the dtm rear end. Heard something about a new battery mounting system. Wonder if it’s gonna mount like the B6? Will allow it to still have the flex without having to tape in the battery.

It will be the same difference as the current versions have!
CA is for Carpet and has a Gear-Diff and Indoor Springs included. Not sure at the moment about YAS or the new RP springs will be included.
DTM is for Clay/Outdoor and has a Ball-Diff and (longer) Outdoor Springs included.

Both will have for sure the new suspension arms and the new rear parts from the DTM for a stiffer rear end.

be curious if the outdoor version has more of the plastic stuff for the same price as the CA version. hopefully whatever they are commonly running as team drivers for stuff makes it into the kits.

Is this front arm mount the narrow version? Do they sell the standard version in aluminum?

No, it's basically the same pace. As the WC is/was a strictly limited release to celebrate RM's titles, it does not really count.

any issues using the stock crosspin for the 2 gear diff setup? someone mentioned on facebook group they cut down a suspension pin and use that with 40-60K fluid, and use stock shimming. Assuming they run mod lol. I run stock.
