This is my 410 using the same wiring. I'll look for the paint scheme in the 410 thread. Best paint job any track I've been to but it's a 12+ hour endeavor. Might do my YZ-2 like that since I consider this a special car.

Default Jumping back into 2 wheel buggy.

I have a question for this group. I am going to get back into 2 wheel drive buggy. I am thinking about getting one of these YZ-2 kits. I will be trying to drive it one a carpet track (The Rug in King, NC) and a clay track (SpeedRC in Moorseville, NC). I know it'll be a good car for the carpet, but I am worried about how much $$$ I am going to have to change it for the clay at SpeedRC. I see talk of having to change gearboxs, rear arms and driveshafts. Slick tyres are the current choice at SpeedRC. Does anyone have any experience with this kit on clay with slicks?

If they are running slicks, I would just add rear toe and maybe some rear weight to the car. The SMC brass option might be the best choice for your situation.

Do you think I will have to do the gearbox change? Going to a Bmax2 rear end?

Definitely not if the track is high enough traction to run slicks.

No!! The car is very user friendly out of the box. Don't worry. Run it straight out of the box on both tracks. It will work well.

He should be able to get by just adding the under battery weights. If the clay is not good, then 20 grams under the gearbox of stick on lead should be good enough..

I run on 2 types of clay tracks, one is slicks only and the other switches between treads and slicks. I had 100g on the rear of the car, never liked how it handled, then put the bmax transmission in and saw a huge improvement in the car (almost 1.5 seconds a lap difference, let alone the consistency/driveability greatly increased).

What's the difference between those gearboxes? I have the original one on my NIB kit I just got but the other assembled roller it has the B-Max Tranny and I can't tell the difference between them.

Less steering with the Bmax tranny.

Hi guys, am about to get the conversion to run the bmax gearbox, and it looks like the guy who drilled my chassis did not get it right, the holes offset from center nearly 1mm... As its for the waterfall brace should I basically be ok, or do these holes have to be drilled perfectly?

Actually I did not lose steering, I gained side bite and rear traction but lost very little steering that it had before.

If he was that far off, it might cause a tweak issue with the chassis.
