I’m a long time kyosho user, handling wise, it’s hard for me to say which is better.mi like both cars. In value, the yokomo is a better buy, same kyosho quality but cheaper price tag, you have to spend way more money on the kyosho to make it race ready. Same quality as the kyosho.

The car has a very nice quality feel to it over the B6. I don't feel like I need to go run out and buy someone else's shock towers.

The car feels responsive to changes as well. Amain has done right by me with how fast they ship parts, and keeping parts in stock.

Its also fun to have something a little different than everyone else.

I got 3 of these now (sold the 4th as an extra to someone), may just keep two as my other daughter is liking 4wd better, but unless something radical happens I don't see switching to another 2wd buggy anytime soon.
Sold the 4th one to me, thank you!

I've converted the car purchased from Cain to everything DTM except ballcups and those parts mentioned below...

Are the +2 motor plate, shock tower and corresponding shims necessary for medium high clay?

I notice many people using the DTM for carpet. I just bought a CA and was looking into a second one for my son.

Any reason to buy the DTM over the CA for high grip carpet? Seems like CA is cheaper way to go because you get the ball diff but not significantly so.

As such, wondering what people think and why.

Thanks.

My impression is the CA may be the way to go on carpet as the aluminum parts I am pulling off of the extra vehicles that came in are going on to my DTM which doesn't have them. Buying those parts separately versus would be $$$. You can then buy what you need from the DTM like say the ball diff and the various plastic components if what I am seeing is right.

Heck, if you need a ball diff just let me know, I got like 4 of them sitting here lol.

I was thinking about picking up a used one to convert into a stadium truck. Let me know when you think of selling it.

Thanks for the input. I will be running gear diff, so what, if any, parts are recommended from the DTM (or otherwise) that do not come standard on the CA?

Also, I see different options for front and rear sway bars for the yz2. I'd like buy one front and one rear set for high traction carpet.

Would someone please link which sets I should buy from Amain so I don't buy the wrong ones?

These were recommended to me by MiBoSport for my DTM for carpet/turf:

Z2-412RS - YZ-2/YZ-4 Rear Soft Stabilizer Set (0.8mm-1.4mm·7pcs)

Z2-412F2 - YZ-2 Front Stabilizer Set (0.7mm-1.2mm·6pcs)

I haven't seen any over at shapeways. Maybe because most people mod the waterfall anyhow.

They offer a waterfall, but no waterfall fan mount (AFAIK) - and that was what was asked for originally .

Ah. I see. Yeah, just mount the fan on the rear of the chassis with shoe goo, but I'd like to see that as well.

Enough room under the body for that?
