Just got off the phone with MIP. If we want a 17.5 puck system for the cars we need to send them an email to show interest. The email address is [email protected]. In the subject line make sure to address which version (mod or stock). Also reference the new axle length of 60.5mm as the length is not the same as the bmax counterpart.

First off, SUPER JEALOUS of all the pics. Makes me want one BAD!!!!

Guess I'll have to wait till the 2nd order thru Amain. Hopefully the parts are coming too, just to have spares.

1.6 machined pistons all around
32.5ft 30r
Kyosho gold in rear and whites in front
middle hole in shock towers
stock roll center settings

So this brings up a good question for those who have the new YZ2 as well and the prev. versions.

-Are you starting with your prior working setup?
*it may be too soon to tell, but are you having to deviate much with the new car?
-Again, it still might be too new, but is anyone finding any neg. with this car over the prev. versions? Overall is this a better car that would make them replace the prev. version with YZ2?

-I plan to dedicate my Carpet action to the YZ2. My Bmax2MR is relegated to Dirt duty. Curious if others who have mult. track surfaces are planning to run separate cars, or are you seeing this car slowly taking the place of the Bmax2?

Can't wait to get one!

I have the b-max2 Mr v3 and now the yz-2 also. I started with the box setup but with 2.5 deg caster instead of the 5 deg. I feel the stock setup is significantly softer than the setup I was running on my v3 ( blue spring all around and 32.5f 27.5r oil) . Yz-2 seems to have more forward grip than my v3 ( witch I struggled to find on the v3) . I run on carpet most of the time so the yz-2 feels much better and faster than the v3. The v3 is going to get changed to rear motor and turned into my dedicated dirt car unless I can find an extra $380 to buy another yz-2.

Interesting this is the first time in 20yrs I have heard this. So I reviewed the book...

6.5 WINGS

6.5.1 Definition: Wings are aerodynamic devices attached to vehicles to increase down force and traction when a vehicle is traveling at speed. The dimensions of wings vary depending on the class of racing, and are described in class rules or specifications.

6.5.2 Only single element or two-element wings may be used, and then only when allowed by the class rules.

6.5.3 Wing Mountings:35

6.5.3.1 Wings should be mounted using wire or some other secure mounting system, and be no closer than 1/4” to the body except as provided below. The
distance between the wing and the body is measured between the rear deck
of the body and the flat portion of the wing chord.

6.5.3.2 Off-road wings may be mounted using wire or fastened directly to the
chassis. There is no minimum clearance for off-road wings. Front wings are
allowed if utilized on the body's full-scale counterpart. If allowed, front wing
dimensions are specified in the class rules.

6.5.3.3 On-road wings, when permitted, may be mounted directly to the body without clearance. Front wings are allowed if utilized on the body’s full-scale
counterpart. Driver must show proof of full-scale utilization.

6.5.3.4 Oval wings may be mounted to or through the rear window of the body.

6.5.3.5 In some classes, wings and spoilers may be used in combination. When allowed by the class rules, separate specifications are provided.

If your wanting the car, my recommendation is put it on back order. Its a free of charge service and with the popularity of this car, you could be waiting for the 4rd shipment if the next shipment is small by accident.
