The spring would be good. But oils work better.

You can use both as I do to get more. The thickest you can add Ofna Diff Lock Lube isn't thick enough to get what these big tires and brushless power do to these diffs. and once they break loose it is over. your stuck. with the spring and adding aluminum washers on each of the spring to get even more grip. It acts like a locker that gives under a hard landing or pinch in some how. I want it to grip and rip and to break loose before something breaks. You can't do that with oil.

Hey guys the spring works great and it is meant mostly for for loose tracks and off-road stuff. sand, mud, rocks and hill climbing. It's not for every buddy but it is for a large number of rc people that have Axial and traxxas products ect... If you have 4 spider gears in your diff cup then this isn't going to work.

Thumbs up

This is on my other build that uses a Yeti XL body. So the wheelbase is only 18.5''. But this shows how I'm setting up the 2 speed trans for both Desert Buggies.

The front lite buckets that are from the Losi 5ive is now a functioning set of 10mm lites with flashlight lens to get the look I wanted. I will be using resistors to keep the voltage as it should using a 2 cell liopo battery.
