Default What is the Best Stock Motor

I am very new to this.. I have posted up a ? like this before..I am wondering about the Orion Core Stock motor..
I have the PK2K2 Pro and the monster stock pro ... and looking for more motors to run.
The track where I will be racing is kinda small to Med. size....Just looking for more motors to run..
The Truck I have is a Matt Francis 2 and the buggy I will be running is a BK2..I will be running both in stock.

Thanx
Jason

For a truck on a short track the P2K2 PRO is a good bet. You can buy a fully tweaked one from many vendors including EA Motorsports. They Zap the magnets, cut the comm's, shim the armature to the center of the magnetic fiels, and hone the bushings (I Believe).

For the buggy...well I got into this before with some people and it seemed to wind up dividing the stock motor crowd. I say run a slightly geared up P2K2, but others will tell you to run a Monster Stock. It's your call, both are good motors.

You can't go wrong with either of those motors. Just try them both out with some gearing changes and see how you like each one.

I could never get my P2K2 to run properly and just be aware that the motor magnets can become loose very easily. The anodizing on the can is the culprit.

For short tight tracks, the P2k or Orion Core would be a good choice.

Heck, on an extremely tight sedan track I ran the older Orion Chrome stocker which was all torque, quite the motor in that situation LOL.

Umm, I'm gonna have to say Banzai motors. They have freakin bomb samurai swordsmen stickers in red and black. I mean honestly, how can you turn down motors that utilize the power of mini warriors? Check um out.

I have to agree with ThatOneguy on the Birdman motors. They are top notch and Birdman is a great guy. Check out the web site www.teambirdman.com. Here's a tip, pay attention to what he tells you to gear the motor at, that will help alot.

You won't find anything better than those 2 motors.

Just buy those same 2 motors from different motor tuners and you will see slight differences.
