Default Plastidip parts to protect?

I'm not quite sure if this is the correct sub forum, but has anyone plastidipped parts to protect them. I have an aluminum chassis I was kind of tempted to try it on, it would be run on indoor clay, just not sure how well it will hold up. I suppose just a chassis sticker will work lol

Please move to painting*

I don't think it'd hold up too well honestly. Also, it's relatively grippy and soft. Not good combos for sliding over things. Nice thought though, the stuff's cool.

I've used a thin layer on the under side of SC bodies to help extend the life, but other than that its not durable enough and adds too much weight as mentioned previously.

Pick up some shelf contact paper at walmart. Cut a square just larger than the chassis, stick it on and trim with a box cutter or hobby knife to fit. Takes less than two minutes, it is cheap, and it is easy to redo after a weekend of running.
