[QUOTE=heretic;13651240]It's not so much about saving money as being able to build it myself. If I bought one built I would have to take it apart and rebuild it- makes no sense. On top of that, some parts might well be messed up from a rushed build and the whole issue just ends up being a major PITA when a "kit" kit and a careful build could have saved time, maybe money and brought me satisfaction instead of frustration. Last but not least, you'll inevitably find some self-tapping screws in a pre-built car, and this means either settling for the revulsive phillips-head self-tapping screw or cross threading the plastic with a nice M3. NO THANKS. Furthermore, the paint job is not at all to my taste, I'm fond of one-color jobs, either all white or all fluoro yellow.[QUOTE]

I Completely agree building the kit is half the fun, I bought my 22 buggy and sct used and dont know them as well as i should or would as if i built myself, and I purchased used because of the price points, if getting a kit that might be competetive at 90 it would be cool, honestly even if it did not turn out to be the best. the body does not worry me so much i am sure that there is another body that will be pretty close just a matter of it being found.

I WONT BUY THIS ONE, BUT I WILL LET MY WIFE GIVE IT TO ME FOR CHRISTMAS

Just found an unboxing vid. Nothing earth shattering but it does give a non-hobbyking look at the car.

Great find! So the hinge pin braces are plastic . Other than that looks like a good car for the price!

Very good find....looks really good actually out of the box. Better than I thought it would. I'm interested to see if he uploads some footage of it running.

He did say 12mm hex on the vid, if the offset matches correctly remains to be seen. I might be wrong but those front wheels look a tad wider than most 2wd buggies.

I bet a hinge pin brace from the turnigy sct or quanum eguana buggy will fit. The shocks are the exact same and they use the exact same metal, screws and a few other parts

For bodies, I am going to take the plastic side wings off and try a losi body and mount the electronics on the battery hold down. I just confirmed that you can run a shorty pack sideways as well.

HK doesn't seem to have the manual up yet: would you be able to take a picture of that hopups page and post it? I'm very interested and I imagine others are too, thanks!

I will post a pic of the options page later. A losi 22 spur is a direct fit, so a Associated b4 spur should also fit. The wheels are 12mm hex all around so associated wheels should work.

If you put in a 22 spur do you need the 22 slipper pads as well? (I think my old 22 had octagon pads and the BZ-222 has circular pads with little divots taken out of the edge? Can't see too well in the photo)

Thanks!

Yes you will have to use losi slipper pads. I will run the losi 22 spur with rcshox garodisc slipper pads.

Options parts that they will be releasing are.

Aluminum hexs with a rear clamping hexs
Aluminum front and rear hubs
Aluminum steer knuckles
Front aluminum hinge pin brace
Carbon Fiber front and rear towers
Possibly an aluminum front bell crank assembly.
A ball diff
