Because of the placement of saddle pack (one in at a time ) a square could cause a problem being flush. I guess it all depends on how the battery box is made. I would rather use a square though

I'm not sure I follow you. both square and saddle will fit without issues though.

I've only run carpet with mine but I think the guys that run on clay might be able to add something.

I've heard that kit setup is a bit stiff for clay but I think it would still make a good starting point. I went heavier oils and stiffer springs for carpet.

Those conditions sound perfect for the stock build and set-up. I recommend adding an extra diff gasket to the gear diff, to remove the initial tight feeling. If the dirt is loose at all, I suggest you use a diff oil no thicker than 1000 cst. My favorite oil thus far has been 800 cst (same as 60wt AE shock oil). It made my buggy much more easy to drive hard, indoors and outdoors.

I'm at the track right now with my evo and tried saddles and square pack. the difference between the two is very minimal. Both still allow some side to side play. I'll have pictures posted later of both packs installed and showing how much extra room it leaves.

do you mean v2 when you see us comparing this buggy to the "v2"? when I say v2 I'm referring to the TM2v2
