In all my years this might be the smartest modification I have seen. Good looking out for the fellow racers!

I also do this on my 1/8 BR-6 buggies, but I use a P4 size o-ring. I use them for the arm and rear upright spacers. It takes up the slop without binding.

I would have to imagine having less parts wear with no plastic rubbing on plastic... do you lubricate the o-rings too, or run them dry?

Dry. IMO any oil or grease just attracts dust and causes more wear.

Definitely want to try the o-ring idea.

Not to highjack the thread - but there is a great product Dry Fluid Extreme (PM me for more details, since this isn't the place). It provides great lubrication properties for bearings, ball joints, any metal to metal or plastic to plastic contact points. But it dries, not like Teflon and oil that attrach dirt.

Unfortunately, rained out after one run today, but so far, car and parts have been durable on my end -- and I have been known to break a part or two

Luca Albanese, one of Intech Italian drivers, tried to find the best setup for the ER-14.

Is that a narrow chassis ER-12 in the pic of all 3 buggies?
