Wait for the RC8.3 guys , it will all arrive from there..

Or convert a SC8e with these RC8 parts:
Chassis plate
Front and rear chassis braces
Center dog bones
Center diff raiser

it will be better than any SC10 4x4

what is the SCT410? a converted EB48, and it's perfectly fine as a 1/10 SCT

1/8 buggies and 1/10 SCT have exactly the same wheelbase

IMO SCT 4x4 should not be based on 1/10 buggies, Tekno as usual did an excellent move by understanding that before anyone else

1/10 run 2S batts but a SCT 4x4 almost weights the same as an e-buggy... this results in heat, electronics failures, bad efficiency etc.. they should use at least 3S or even better 4S

SCT based on 1/8 buggies are stronger, faster, handle better, are more efficient,.. the step further would be to use 1/8 electronics too, they need it

All they needed to know was scale down an RC8 and it would have been great .

They definitely will at some point. Largest class in the area, and ran at almost all tracks, indoor and outdoor.

I just don't see Team Associated leaving money on the table.

Once the new B44.3 gets into the market I will bet the new 4x4 sct will be using the gear diffs from the 44.3, a sct version aluminum chassis with b5 style ball cups and metric screws.

Yup...

I asked Brent Thielke this exact question at AMS this year... he kinda gave a $#it eating grin and said "we might be working on something..."

I then went to to explain to him how a few of us down here in FL were running converted RC8's, he seemed interested and asked how we did it, how it ran on 2s, etc...

He was trying to be coy, didnt say yes, but didnt say no.

I remember an AE rep when I asked about things for the sc10 4x4 commenting that maybe they would make another vehicle specifically for outdoor tracks, keep the sc10 4x4 for indoor.

well, maybe they decided to just do one platform to call it good.

I am cool with that

3s and 4s handle like turds. The eb48 is no where near as planted and hooked up as the truck, and that's a big reason. On 2s with sct I can run with the pro buggies, (at big events like Clash, AMS, ,etc) and it runs 150 degrees after 10 minutes with a 4800kv motor. Its pretty easy to get them to run cool, getting 10+ minutes is hard though. I would never run 3s or 4s in it, would be terrible.

The Tekno SCT is more in-depth than just putting sc wheels on a buggy. They made parts specifically for the truck. Everything from the bulkeads out is different. The current AE RC8 conversions are just buggies with truck bodies and SC tires.

If you ran that same wattage battery in a 3 or 4 cell version, there would be no weight difference.

You have somehow missed finding out that 3S and 4S packs don't need to be heavier than 2S packs. SMC sells a 4300 4S pack that weighs less than their 7200 2S pack and a 4S pack that weighs the same as that 7200 2S pack.

I've had my sc10 4x4 FT for almost 2 years now. I have spent my share of timing tuning it for indoor racing and used it here and there outdoors. From my experience the belt drive works great for me ive never had any issues only had to adjust for belt stretch here and there. as to competing with the Tekno SCT that's a tall order if I can manage to get in front of whoever is racing one I do not have an issue staying in front until lap traffic. The biggest thing i like about the SC10 is that its light and i love that fact its nimble in comparison and doesnt require ridiculous power to go like a tekno or losi.

About not replacing it and going with the prolite to compete with the slash 4x4 that has to be the most asinine thing i have heard the prolite is awful at best out of the box. it would not hold a candle in the wind to a slash 4x4 again thats my opinion and from having a close friend with a prolite experience seeing one try to race.

Sorry about my punctuation really trying to work on that part of my posting haha

Well Contacted AE twice to see if they are planning on a new 4wd SC. Got NO reply (nothing, zilch). Not a we can't discuss future vehicles, a we are always working on new products. Absolutely Nothing. So I think they have no plans for a new comp 4wd SC. Anybody else heard anything????
