Yet another engine question. Is there a big difference between the rb concepts tm928 and the novarossi rex 528xr? It seems as though they are pretty comparable. Everyone seems to be sold out of the novarossi though.

How come these don't come with mud gaurds? Is there enough room between the chassis and the body to fit the gaurds from the X1-CR?

Most truggies don't seem to use mudguards. I know the MSR conversion kits don't use them either.

I was looking at the Kyosho Inferno ST and that one includes mud guards... Looks a little weird without them, the chassis is exposed and narrow.

I'll try to come up with a solution once I get mine.

Yeah, you'd think they would at least have narrower ones.

Do you guys think a SH .21 PT2004-XB engine is good enough for the CRT?

The new Xtreme RC Cars Magazine is out (December '05) and has the X1CRT on the cover, make sure to check it out.

I bit the bullet and ordered my CRT from Tower Hobbies this morning, it's already In Transit. I'm guessing it should arrive tomorrow or Friday (UPS Express).

I'll take off the engine, pipe, and steering servo from my CR until spring then I'll purchase those for the buggy. Doubt I'll be running the buggy during the winter.

Stay tuned for pics.

Make sure to take some cool pics! As for your engine question, in my opinion you should go with an engine larger than .21 so you will have enough torque for the heavier truck.

For sure!

I'll see how my .21 from my buggy powers the truggy and maybe next year I'll purchase a .28 and put the .21 back in the buggy. We'll see.

2.5HP should be plenty for a truggy though.

I just received my CRT from Tower Hobbies... I was very impressed with their service, they shipped it out the same day of me ordering.

I've got one word to say: THIS THING IS HUGE!! I think I need a .32 engine for it.

Too bad I have school in an hour.

I am in Canada as well, how much did it cost for the UPS Express shipping, I assume the customs clearing is included in that price (not like ground) and then the GST/PST taxes on top?

Hey,
It cost $67US for UPS Express and it included the brokerage charges, but there was $103CAN of taxes on the package when it arrived (15%)
