Right off the bat, the batt (no pun intended) and the motor have to go. If you want a good Orion motor, look into the V2 series. The batteries are so old I don't even think anyone here uses them as practice packs. Get a good set of matched GP3300's and see what kind of life it has left on it, then check out a motor. The LRP speed control will get you around for a while. The battery may be gone making the car slow. You will see tremendous amount more punch with a good set of GP cells.

You can also try http://www.stormerhobbies.com

Tower hasn't carried Losi stuff since Horizon Hobbies bought Losi.

I believe the Rush was not rebuildable. It is an open-endbell motor but something about the comm being a different material (?)

Anyway, heres the Orion V2 - http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXFSW6&P=7

Heres some good batts - www.hyperform-racing.com

They currently have a sale on GP3300s.

The P2K would be better to use but you may have to get somebody to cut the comm for you. You will have to replace the brushes if they are worn as well.

The MRC 959 is a good charger to get. Charges @ 4.5 amps max on AC current.

I suppose those packs are okay. The downside about these is they are in a stick pack configuration, they have a higher outernal and internal resistance, tight fit in a BK1 and the voltages are all over the place and rather low (1.13-1.15)

For the price of those you can get the assembled (side by side) GP3300s from www.hyperform-racing.com or www.specpointbatteries.com which would be alot better overall.

Im just trying to help you get the best for your money.

These are a a good deal on 3300's. Great racing packs. Much better value than anything from Tower.

For stock racing you will be fine with 3300s.

Look in the for sale section on this board. There will be some good deals on lighly used packs.
Texracer is a good seller, tell him Britracer sent you, he usually gets good deals on things.
