I never used that charger and I never heard of a message like that. I think a better charger would be a good investment. The better you treat your batteries the better they will treat you.

Make sure you have a good connection with your power and balance plug. I've seen that same error message on my charger and that's what fixed it, I just unplugged it and looked at my connector (XT60) and noticed the male and female were fitting loosely. I adjusted the fit and then it has worked fine since.
