This will be my first kit build. I've always bought rollers that were a bit used up so I am so excited. The xray buggy looked really good and they came out with this just as I could afford a new one.

I got the car from a local team driver.

Here is a pic of how the chassis is coming along. Still needs shocks and electronics. Hope it helps the convert guys.

My first xray as well. I have a tekno sct410 as well. It is very similar as the mbx6eco I sold this spring. I'm slapping on some horrible paint on the body and tuning the esc and we should be ready for tweeking the alignment on the huddy tomorrow and getting it dusty.

I'd be interested in your comparison to the Tekno, as I'm torn between the two at the moment. I trust Xray quality, but the Tekno is hopped up right out of the box. So let us know what you think.

Sure I bust my butt off to get it ready and we got rained out today. I don't think you could go wrong with either one of them. We have both at our local track and both perform awesome. The other xrays are the xb8's converted. I'll be the first production one. I can't wait to get it out and do some testing. I picked up the xray because of a local driver has a hook up and he always does really well and is a super nice guy.

Only 3 small things on the build. My Tekin t8 tab for the wires hit on the low slung rear of the body. Justturned the endbell 2 clicks to point them inboard. The body doesn't leave enough room to keep the antenna inside. There is only 1/4 inch from the top of the antenna mount and body. I just like to keep it under for a cleaner look. And the body also takes a bit more trimming to clear the steering on the right side. None of these are big things at all. I didn't necessarily like the looks of the bodyon the website but worth my paint it looks better than I had thought it would. Not saying my paint job is good just saying I would get this body again and send it to someone much more talented than I am.

How's the build otherwise? Typical Xray fit and finish?

In my conversion I've countersink the existing hole in chassis to mount the front part of battery tray, wonder if the tray is now in same position as in XB8E.
Here's a picture of both chassis next to each other.

Default Xb9e and Xb8e

Hello everyone can someone explain to me whats the difference I have the Xb9e.

There are both buggys so does that mean that the Xb9e will be discontinue?? I know that is the part the 808 share the same parts to the xb9e.

THanks

The XB8E is the newest variant using the suspension of the new XB8 buggy....

As far as parts compatibility, there are a large number of parts that are carried over from one buggy to the next.

Check out the download section on the TeamXray site for the cross reference spreadsheet... XB8E information hasn't been added just yet, however, the XB8 info can be viewed for reference.

Default here is the finished product

Yes the build was smooth and everything fit just as it should. I was very impressed by the quality of it. My paint job was just a quicky but it came out pretty good considering I cant paint for crap.

The xb8 has the pillow ball suspension and the xb9 and 808 have c-hubs. I am a fan of the pillow ball. Not that there is an issue with c hubs just like the simplicity of them. Since they went back to pillow ball they went back to the xb8 label and changed the version to 2014 for nitro and 2015 for electric. I hope I shed some light on a question.
