The 4.0 buggy has the parts that they used on the SCT 3.0 and only thing different form the buggy to the SCT is a laydown transmission. Laydowns are not needed in SCT cause the weight bias is already close. So I don't see a new SCT for a while now. 2 years min. IMO

No you are not alone. Still driving my 2.0 as a rear motor truck does better on my medium grip clay track. I'm going to be trying my truck without the sway bars on our new layout to see how it drives. I love this truck! SOOOOO much steering and so fun to drive. I'm also switching from 20K diff oil in the gear diff to 3k. With the 20K, the truck had absolutely no rotation at all. 3K should solve that problem.

RTR. I put the orange Kyosho o-rings with AE green slime in it. I've had absolutely zero leaks. It's been great

Default Body Mounting

Is anyone using a different body mount setup?

After running traxxas and Tekno, I'm not happy with just the clips as they break through to easily and adding any tape or washer makes it almost impossible to put the clips through the holes. I've even drilled the hole in the posts out bigger.

I see a Pro Line Extended body mount kit ( 6306-00 ) with their secure-lock screw on caps, but it seems to be discontinued.

Anything better out there that I am missing?

Thanks in advance,
Shanon

My youngest boy bought a very nice 2.0 with Exotek chassis and almost all the available upgrades. It's dialed and he loves it. Weight is all where it needs to be, and the modular design allows the whole front end to come off with 6 screws for access to the steering. I may go to a gear diff whenever the stocker needs rebuilt. Trying to decide whether to use an RTR diff with the o-ring swap, a Serpent diff, or the new TLR planetary diff. I could have sworn that I read on here that someone had a fitment issue with the new diff in either a 1.0 or 2.0, but I can't seem to find it.

My RTR diff has been flawless with the Kyosho o-ring swap. No problems at all.

I have the new all aluminum gear diff in my sct 2.0. I haven't ran it enough to comment on performance or durability, but the fittment is fine. No issuesat all.

Pretty sure hes running rear motor, i think he posted a pic a page or 2 back. I do know he races dirt oval tho.

Fwiw i still run mine rear motor on indoor clay offroad at rain mans in bakersfield. To this day i still run faster lap times with this truck compared to my sc5m which is pretty much dialed in with 3 gear, brass block, similar running gear, etc.

I do have a few questions. What bellcrank, servo mounts and servo horn did you use on your 2.0 build? Exotek claims that their horn won't clear one screw on their nose plate. Is the kickup angle 25 like the stock chassis? Also, I'm a little surprised that your 3.0 is better on carpet than the 2.0 with the semi-laydown 3-gear. Anything in particular that could account for that? On indoor clay the 3.0 rocks.
