I had a really nice long response for you but my laptop decided to self update and kick me off in the middle of it.
I have had a set of tires last 2 1/2 hours and I've burned a set to the foams in 10 minutes.
It all depends on the time of year, track temp, conditions, how hard you drive.
My son runs soft and super soft thru the year but I have his throttle turned down to 60%. He can run usually 2-3 race days on one set When I drive his buggy, I have to run Medium on the same track to make it thru one day, if im lucky.

Il tell you this it depends on what kind of dirt you are racing on and how hot the temp is outside . I raced at one track and ran small pin soft compound tires on my E-buggy and I was surprised how much wear . It did to them it might of been my driving or all the off camber turns not sure .
It was just a clay/mixed hard packed track no addives that I know of on the surface . But every other track the tire ware is low .
But usually the smaller pin tires will wear quicker especially if you get into the loose dirt on the outside line . I ran aka impact tires and they last pretty long for sure just like blockades .

I take 2 brand new mounted sets of tires, that work for the track, for each car.
In Ebuggy I'll have a dozen sets of tires at least. You don't have to feel bad about spending huge on tires. You're going to use them no matter what.
You can buy them now, or buy them later for even more. No excuse for not having them on hand.
My small pin tires last as long as my larger pin tires. After 3 complete race days, any tire is a practice tire only if it has any tread left. And I think we have way less tire wear than than the Blue Groove South.

totally depends on the track and the dirt.. I run at a premier 1/8 facility and heck I can take tires for 6+ race days, maybe more. There are tracks that can chew up tires in 6 runs If you don't know what the surface will be, but you do know the "fast" tire then have a few sets.. most tracks keep what racers want so typically you can get tires on site if needed. May pay to call ahead.

As others have said, this will totally depend on the track... I've been to some tracks where a set of tires could last me all day. Others, bald at the end of a 5 minute heat with 2 minutes of warm-up.
As a general rule for myself if budgeting, this is how I rotate my tires:
Fresh Season -
4 complete sets - 2 of each compound
For ease lets say I find one compound work fine... we will call these set A and B...
Practice - Set from last year
Heat 1,2 - Set A
Main - Set B
Next Race (Buy Set C)
Practice - Set A
Heat 1,2 - Set B
Main - Set C
ETC...
This is about as budget as I can go...
The reality... I usually have a set of tires for each time the car hits the track, and I run Nitro Buggy, E-Buggy, and Truggy...
The used ones 1 or 2 runs, use for local club racing, practice, or give away...

You can make one or two sets of tires last a whole race... the problem is what tires do those need to be.
Nothing worse than getting caught without the right tire.
I usually use my qual tires from the last race for practice, then a new set for qualifiers, and a new set for mains. I haven't run on a surface that will destroy a set of tires in 7 minutes, at least not at a big race with a fresh layout. Talking about a green untreated layout run dry. Even when the rubber gets down they just don't have the traction to destroy a set of tires.

small pin tire like that, especially in SS, not meant to last more than one round.
Grid Irons, hole shots and the like... just burning money. I don't buy them anymore, unless it's in a medium.

Wow.
Guess that's the price of running on dirt so hard packed and grooved it minus well be pavement. No thanks. Hopefully the area I'm in, doesn't fall into that mentality anytime soon.
Are they useng some kind of high grip dirt and treatment, or is that natural earth down there?
