Default Arrma Typhon Buggy Thread

Found out about the new 1/8 buggy coming out by arrma which is going to be 6s compatible and also waterproof esc and radio box too. It'll be available mid July. I think it's going to have a price of $430 from http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...1p?&I=LNECKU** I'm looking forward to it. Add any additional info you guys find just post as it would be helpful to all.
Check it without the body here:

I bought this just a few days ago. When it came I stuck a 6s lipo in it drove it to the end of the street and it immediately stopped and the esc lit on fire. It's a great build quality but the electronics must not be. This could have been fluke.

that sucks. good to know though that the build quality of the kit itself.

Kind of suprised they are saying do 6S with a 2300kv rated motor in there vehicle. Must have been only for speed runs.

Hey folks, just posted a few vids of the new Typhon. Just search my name LC Turnatrax.

BTW, it's a 2050kv motor.

The Kraton is a truggy/monster truck type vehicle. Longer chassis and arms compared to the buggy.

I have one and like it. it's held up to some pretty rough abuse as I get used to driving something so fast. On 6s it screams and on 4s its still plenty fast for me

Can I put Pro-Line Badlands with mounted Desperado rims on the Typhon or do I need to purchase other rims that fit the Typhon?

I'm running cut 2.8 badlands on modified 3.2 Revolvers. Or, was, that is... Till they self distructed. Its a great fit, far as stance and performance goes.

Or, what I should have done, but can't because my tires are already cut, is get the 2.8" on 17mm pro-line f11 wheels. Everything bolts right up, and tire bead matches.

Oh! Just make sure you get offset wheels.

Today I learned that the absense of a wing causes massive end over rotation; too much in fact for buggy tires and 4s to overcome. I also learned that the MBX7 arms are stronger than the steering plate when going full front tilt into the back of a big double at a BMX track.

how is the wing and wingtower holding ?

i'm about to order a buggy for some hard bashing like you do. The arma seems ok ( even if heavy ) but I 'm not sure about the part supply in time. I like the mugen mbx7r eco
