Default looking into racing rc need help

hey im looking into strting rc. idk if I should go 2wd buggy or truck. at the track I go to those are the most popular classes. and the stock slash is what all them recommend. so traxxas is what im looking at but I think buggy seems more competitive and all I see for buggy is kits that will cost 600 or more. and advice to a newbie?

Hi Fkoppers, Welcome to R/C. I would go with the Traxxas 2Wd SCT truck. If you are that new to R/C. Cheap and something to get yourself used to the radio driving skills.

Starting with something second hand is a good way to get started without breaking the bank. You'll learn more from, and be more competitive with, a decent racing truck/buggy than a cheap new unit. Traxxas do a very durable basher, but it's not so quick as a racing buggy.

Personally I cut my teeth on a Mini 8ight before investing in a 22-4 kit for racing.
