Default Tires

Is there any word if the top three tire manufacturers (Pro-Line, Jconcepts, and AKA) are going to start making more tires for ST? I put on a new set of M3 Holeshots yesterday for the race, and after my second qualifier they were toast. Now our track did have an insane amount of traction yesterday; however, without more compound options it's going to be an expensive summer

Hi,

I'm getting my truck this coming week and I have a few questions.

I'm ordering the hard arms front and rear. A Futaba S9452 Digital High-Speed/Torque Servo. A 3 gear tranny. JConcepts T5M Precut Chassis Protective Sheet Black

Any suggestions on tires for clay, wheels?

I'm planning on 17.5, the track is indoor 80 x 50. Gearing? Too old to 7.5 turn

Any and all suggestions accept.

Thanks.

I have run dirt in 20 years.

JC makes plenty of ST tires in a few different compound

Double dee: green and black I believe
Flipouts:green
Goosebumps: green
3D's: green, black
Barcodes:black, green, blue, orange, gold
Pressure points: black, green, blue, gold
Dirt webs: green, blue, gold
Carver: blue

A few tread patterns don't need every compound, their tread designs kinda dictate compounds. You won't ever need flipouts or goosebumps in anything but green and typically the abrasive tracks you're able to use barcodes and if it's rly smooth dirt webs or PP's

I've run holeshots on numerous race and practice days in M3 on sugared tracks and not had that extreme of wear.

But realistically if younhave that much grip out doors you are better off with a blue or red compound from JC or a x2 from proline. Track isn't going to be loamy for a holeshot tire. A barcode/dirtweb or suburb would be better bets.

Finally got mine out on the track, broke the servo horn in that exact spot after two laps over a jump.

Never had a prob with the horns in two B5Ms.

I don't know what kind of surface you're actually on but green compound holeshots would be bald, the rears for sure, after 1 pack on our sugared bluegroove surface. The tread on Proline suburbs in x2 compound last a race day and only really start to work at that point. Baldies are best this time of year.
