correct in assuming the truck only includes the 80+ tooth spur gear and not the 78 tooth referenced?

Also, for stock, does the manual recommended 78tooth sound good or should I look at something smaller?

The kit came with both the 78t and 84t spur gears...I run our 13.5 stock class and ill be trying the recommended 78x26 to start, Ill let you guys know how it goes.

Interestingly, It also came with a second diff gear for some reason.

Yup, I ran out of my good 3m VHB so I had to use the crappy foam tape that comes in the kit, it doesnt work very well but once i get some more VHB ill be set

Here is the motor gearing chart:

Also, this picture shows the VTS slipper clutch, but the kit only comes with the standard twin plate slipper.

Guessing the manual is a slightly edited B5m version that will have a few missed mistakes. Seen it before.

The AE v2 slipper with the vented plates and the hi-torque pads is quite good and consistent at about half the price of a Schelle Nova slipper.

So I got a chance to drive one today, had a Tekin 10.5, we were playing with gearing and had to switch to the 84 with a 22 pinion, seemed ok but I didn't have enough time to play more with it. 22/78 was what was in there and it was all wrong.

I will say this, truck was DIALED right out of the box, can't wait to get some more time with either that one again or my own. I expect to see them in the store on Wednesday.

This is my T5M, finished the build late last week, had it's first run yesterday (Sunday), the build was great as always, simple like the B5M.

Coming from onroad racing for many years to starting offroad late last year, so never driven a stadium truck until now, it drives unreal.

Running setup similar to Cav and Thielke, changed a couple of things for our Australian track which was quite blown out, rutty, dusty and loose.

Added the Brass C block on the rear, and went with 3 front limiters and 2 rear in the shocks.

Gripped up really well, using hole shots all round, had way too much grip, so probably needs a few small changes, get rid of brass C, take limiter out of rear, and possibly run a shorty instead of square pack.

Great car to drive, you can really push it like a 4wd or shortcourse but has the smoothness to it like the B5M, great combo. Can't wait to enter some major events with it.

Let me guess that one shop was charging you $40 if you wanted your kit the next day (friday) right? Don't forget to tell the whole story!!
