For people who run the t5m and b5m, how much do your setups differ between the two on a common track? I've noticed that I need to run the battery more forward in the t5m to get the same steering with otherwise similar setups. (Loose outdoor clay track) Not sure if this is normal or I'm doing something else wrong.

Default 13.5 gearing

we are switching to a 13.5 only class at our track. The track is usually pretty good traction and maybe 1 stretch where you might be able to reach full throttle. My question is what should I start out at for gearing. I know book says 75/26 but someone else suggested 84/23.
Just trying to get more input.

Thanks in advance.

You have to find the gearing that works for you at your track with your motor. It takes time and testing to get it right. Not the answer you are looking for I’m sure. Im at 78x27 now but it’s still a work in progress.

Been running my XT6 now for a little over a month and a half, and this truck is a rocket - that handles like it's on rails. Just having a blast with it, but did want to confirm that a T5M body does NOT fit the Exotek XT6 conversion. I had two T5M bodies in the garage and decided to try and get one to fit. . . haha!! oh well, I'll order another T4.2 body at some point, or after I run this body and the other one I may just retire the XT6 and get the T6.1. Who knows??

Anyway, here's a few shots of my franken-body and one color wonder paint job!!!

Just picked up a T5M roller for outdoor racing. Track is hard pack with thin layer of loose that builds up. 68 to 86deg outside. Any set up advice? Most of the sheets on Petitrc are clay or indoor dirt. So stoked to be racing Stadium truck after 18ys away from off-road.

Anyone know if the 6.1 spurs will fit on the T5M? They are different P/N. Stock P/N 9652 6.1 P/N 91811
looks like you might have to just trim the over sized slipper pad tabs.

Hi heathen. Glad to hear someone else wants to run outdoor stadium truck! I run my t5m outdoor too on dirt or packed clay. Initially I ran with the previous owners setup but slowly stepped back to the baseline kit recommended settings and I like that best. I'm not super fast, I just want the truck consistent over the jumps and with enough steering at low speed to make the hairpins. Not sure about the spur gear, I'm running left overs from my X60

Bought the T5M used just to add another class and the old girl was good enough for third. Fun truck to drive and jumps great. Only problem was the stock knuckles. They have lots of play. What all do you need to convert to B6.1 knuckles?

It's been a while, but IIRC it was a pleasure to drive! Please check the picture of the track to see if the set-up might be of use for your conditions:

Just unthread the T5M ones and thread on the 6.1 ball ends. Nothing to it.

I think he means the c hubs and knuckles so I'm not sure how they thread in and out.

Just go back and search its been covered 100 times. I guess now you could just buy the T6 axle though,

It is a bumpy and slippery track and there are no big jumps. One of my buddies has used 20wt oil in his rear motor B-Max2 with good success.
