I did just that recently. There's a post of mine in this thread a few pages back or the full blog post about it: Apex Attitude: Stadium truck is ready!

With the release of the SC5 rear motor RTR platforms, gives me hope that the 5 series becomes the RTRs. That will retire the T4/SC10 platform. Then that gives us the T6 and SC6 soon.

What did you use to get the hexagon silver look?

I put my hex pattern mask in and misted the area with Faskolor faschange red. I peel the mask out and cover the whole are in white. The faschange red in certain angles is completely gone (in lower pic) and in other angles as you can see it clearly (in above pic). It looks very trick.

Ok I got to race my T6 tonight at my normal track. Did not have a ST class, got thrown into open truck with a bunch of mod SCs. T6 handles awesome, need a little more side bite but just need to work with it some. The track I run at no matter the lay out always has very close lap times from lay out to lay out. T6 vs T5, I was able to cut right around 2 seconds a a lap with the T6 off my times with the T5. T6 feels more planted overall, less slop every where and just more precise.

One problem, I keep popping the ball cup off the servo to bell crank link every time I brushed the pipe or hit a SC hard. To fix this before the mains I used the T5 link with the bigger ball studs. I think where the B6 uses the small studs and cups, they are not up to the job with ST tires.

Overall very happy with building the T6 with Exotek conversion. I picked up a B6 and am going to cut my own towers for it from my Exotek towers and rig up a body mounts for my carpet truck. I will compare how the 2 compare to each other.

Have my Lunsford T6 front axles coming. Lunsford hooked me up.
Are those t6 axles something they made custom for you?

The wheelbase is 282mm and a normal T5M is 289mm. If I wanted I could shave the back of the rear arms and bring it to 284 easy enough. So far it goes alright at 282, just finding the set up so far. Two race days on it and it's a few hundredths of a well sorted T5M.

I figure with a bit more tuning and me learning how to drive mod again it'll be faster. A handful currently but getting better with each run after every change, still came 2nd out of 10 last meet so there's promise.

No they have them in stock or did when I ordered mine. They just do not list them on the website or send them to venders. Call them at 541-928-0587 and ask for the T6 titanium axles, that you are converting a B6 to T6. Shipped mine same day as I ordered them.

It is called the Trophy rat https://www.teamassociated.com/cars_...rophy_Rat/RTR/

and DB10 https://www.teamassociated.com/cars_...flex_DB10/RTR/

Here is the release video of both. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=akmmewk045A&t=640s

Listen at the 5:40 mark and they talk about the chassis and you hear the guy off camera say it is a SC5 rear motor chassis.

Interesting....if you analyze the body-off photos it actually looks like a hybrid of sorts. The chassis layout is clearly SC10 or 4th generation, but the front tower, hinge pin brace, bumper, arms and hubs are all 5th gen parts. Itís definitely different than a standard SC10.

Ok I have a set of the Vision towers (Vision towers are in stock) and a used B6 coming. Going to build this one with the B6 chassis and compare to my Exotek conversion. The B6 chassis one will end up being my carpet T6.
