Talking Reedy NEO Brushless

Hi, can you tell me if this is a good choice for electric offroad??

Also, do you know which gear to use with a B4 and BJ4

Thanks

They are definately out now. I would think that this would be an awsome motor/esc for off-road, my Novak 5800 was powerful enough on my home track and this Reedy system is quite a bit quicker. Most likely it will provide you with more than enough power, but I suppose the real question is if it is smooth enough to lay the power down effectively.

Brent was TQ in the practice rounds in 2 classes. It didn't look any different than a brushed motor to me. I tend to wonder how much drag brake he had dialed in though.

The HobbyTown here in Nebraska has them in stock. Each store has two of the motors and one of the esc. So I would think that pretty much everyone should have them by now if they had them on backorder.

regarding gearing,

I run a sphere and LRP VECTOR motor (similar to the NEO1) around 3 teeth lower than a 10 turn. this should be a good starting point at least. (2WD and 4WD buggy)

in the VECTOR manual there was a recomended gear ratio for different applicationsl, I am sure the NEO1 would have the same or similar details, use these as a guide
