Default Center diff.....please explain

with the upcoming hot bodies, the first production 4wd to include a center diff, what is its purpose?

So with a center diff, there is no slippage/slipper. Will the gears need replacement more often?

I know 1/8 scale buggies/truggies all have center diffs, how would they handle 'without' one?

Just an fyi for you, several 4wd buggies were produced between 85-89 which had 3 diffs, either gear or ball type, at least 6 that I can think of, so it;s not really new tech for this class, more like a long overdue return to it

Well that is a good question... and if you do not know maybe someday i had didin't know to....

Central diff in this days of brushless power that conquered more torque and speed then nitro/gas is a must to reduce wheelies and actually put that insane power at the ground and not in the air?
And a much more durability of the 4x4 transmission all over.

That's used on 1/8 buggys for a reason... weight and strenght!

Comprende?

It's used to tune the power distribution between the front and rear.
