No. All the Orion 1/8 motors are the regular length 4 pole motors.

Ive since learned they do. Disregard this^.

Yes they do. FYI this is Jason. Wade tried one of the truggy motors and it went bad on the first day. It may have been a fluke, but who nows. I have been using the new orion motors in my eyes buggy and it has been great, it has extreme torque and the build quality is fantastic.

Orion has electric motors for Truggy. I use the same Orion electric motor for my buggy and truggy.

I'm looking for a system for an 8th scale buggy. Going XRAY cause I love my XB4 so much. How good is the Orion system. Only thing I am unsure about.
My R10 Pros have been flawless. But running Shurr Speed motors in stock.

Yep and not only that but after 3 months of waiting for a replacement for warranty work Horizon sent me an un-sensored Dynamite buggy motor as a replacement. Note on the packing slip said the original MR8 Orion motors had been discontinued. Clueless customer service to say the least. $150 down the drain.

The original MR8 motors are poor in design. The ends of the motor are held on with button head screws around the case. Fine for the end bell end but leads to wallered out holes on the mounting end. This has been fixed with the new version of the Orion motors.

New speed control and motors are really good and smoother than ever.
