Hey, I'm looking to get my first 1/10 SCT and it has been years since I owned RC. I know I want a 4x4 and cost is a factor. I was thinking of getting the OFNA TS4 RTR and I've read mixed reviews.

I'm curious to see what you guys think of what I should get? I live in San Diego and there are two tracks I know of.

I'm curious myself on the ts4. There isn't much available in the low budget 4wd SCT scene anymore. Too bad the hyper 10sc isn't around anymore, I love mine.

I'm kind of surprised because I think the OFNA TS4 has been around for two, maybe three years now? I see them on YouTube and it looks like they perform well. Some of my friends are telling me to stay away from it but I think it is a good buy, especially at that price.

ofna stuff seems to be lower quality than the other major brands. go with the durango, it is a good truck. you don't see many reviews as many aren't buying them.

You are in Tekno's back yard, you won't get better support than that.
You can find rollers on rctech here and there, some artr's too. New kit tekno or durango will not be cheap as you have to buy all of the electronics separately. Hunt the FS threads for a deal, the tekno is just about bullet proof so even a used roller will more than likely still be tight.

Ya, if your on a budget and getting into the hobby, buying used is the best way. kits are never cheap

Buying used RC is like buying a used car... you don't know what's wrong with it.

then don't complain about cost and buy new. it will always be a tradeoff, used, and potentially get better quality with a risk of something being wrong, or buy new and go with a lower quality product and don't risk problems with other users.

If you ask questions before you buy on rc tech you won't have problems make sure you and the seller are on the same page about what your getting try to buy from people with good feedback. Since discovering rc tech I can honestly say I have yet to buy a new rc vehicle. I agree with the other guys go with a name brand like tekno or losi or Durango you will be better off in the long run. Don't be afraid to ask the seller to throw in let's say a battery let them know your just starting out most people enjoy helping out new comers. Good luck to you.

I got to say take a look at the Tekno SC410 4x4 SC . Your right around where there main office is at . You can find a SC410 roller or one that has the electronics on it on here and you know it was owned by a racer.

Good thing is the quality is pretty good on the Teknos so even if you buy a used one everything will still be in good shape.

I've read poor reviews on the Durango and I think I will stay away from this one. I'll keep looking.

I have to agree on the tekno. I have an ofna nexx10. It is a good truck but from what I have seen with the tekno there is no comparison. My next truck will be a tekno for sure! Pay a little more now and you wont regret it later.

You're right, I live about 5 minutes from Tekno. $399.99 and I still need a ESC, motor, tires/wheels, battery and body. I'll look around and see how much they go for.

I'd like to know were you are getting your reveiws from cause i have 4 durangos and i love them. I dont own a 4x4 yet, thinking about about picking up one for the summer, but if you can deal with ordering your parts online then i would pick one up while they are cheap.
