I got the parts to extend my Tomahawk, also with the wider front.
It was really good! Just need to adjust the body (run without).

Here's the bike project, the rear slick is smooth

Ok, my Tomahawk is now 10mm longer with the Turbo Scorpion parts and wider front.
Also with HG shocks, it's smooth!
I made Scorpion style body mounts to the lid on the back attaching to the scrollbar.
It's a bit hi but otherwise works well.

e: fixed typo not => now

My LeMans brushless motor should be arriving this week, along with Turbo Scorp body set and spare Optima body set.

I also have the 2.2 white wheels .. bought them long time ago and haven't decided what to do with them yet.

I just finished a Turbo scorpion build with the 30t brushed Lemans 490. I thought for sure being 30t it would be dog slow, but was pleasantly surprised she gets along rather well. The brushless motor you ordered should be just as nice.

For those 2.2 wheels, you could get some proline bowties and standard ribbed front tires. I did this with my scorpion 2014 edition, and it definitely came to life.

Cool. Yes it's a nice motor.
For the optima can get now the silver Javelin wheels, too. I just ordered ribbed fronts and hole shots rear.

Won a Scorpion 2014 kit in an ebay auction.
Half built, looks like they gave up in frustration, but its all there. Shocks need to be rebuilt, rear is binding, probably other little build issues. I am going to take it completely apart and start from scratch to make sure its done right. Body already painted green and wing and tub are silver, which is nice since I can't paint where I live.

My initial thoughts:
Wow! Quite the looker. The large amount of aluminum really makes it seem expensive and high quality. The wheels are some of the best plastic wheels I have ever seen. They actually look like aluminum, even up close. Front tires feel too hard, rears feel too spongy but both look great.

I am going to stick a sensored 17.5 system on it.

Just to make you jealous...
Included with the buggy when I bought it on ebay was a brand new velineon esc and motor, traxxas waterproof servo, and new traxxas 2.4ghz radio and receiver.
I paid $133.50 including shipping for everything

Quick question for those who had built a Scorpion, are the gears inside the Scorpion gear diff the same as the gears inside the ZX6 diffs (the gears inside the ZX6 front, rear and centre diff are all the same).

Thanks in advance.

Son read the Highway Hornet article in RCCA, wanted to try out some Foam Tires. Turned down some old TRC left side Hubs, and mounted some GRP Foams. Was interesting, would be better as a Direct Drive like CW or Trinity dirt oval cars
