Default 5mm male to 4mm male bullets?

Is their a way to go from a 5mm male to 4mm male bullet? Reason for this is the new batteries are 5mm, I would like to switch to a 4mm battery every once in a while.

They have adapters to plug the 4mm into the 5mm ports. I just don't like the idea of adding another joint in the line. The next time I buy packs I will change over to the 5mm pack for my sct, but while my current packs are still alive I am holding out.

fq06,
You make a solid point! I have searched everywhere for such adaptors with no luck.

You can always buy the bullets and make one. I can see 5mm becoming the standard for lipos in the future.

Agreed. I just switched to 5mm and dumped the 4mm lipos.

For charge leads, I had a few female 4mm connectors that I slid over the 4mm to get it to change the 5mm lipos.

Sorry for digging up an old topic, I too was in the market for a 4mm-5mm adapter and found these at my LBS.

Its a hybrid 4mm/5mm plug. The front portion of the plug is 4mm and near the end it steps up to 5mm. Eliminates soldering the bullet connector to the "ports"

Fwiw Fantom tested 5mm plugs and found that they had a higher IR than 4mm.

You can find these at several online and maybe local hobby stores:

There are more than just the Protek brand out there.

Yeah, SMC found the same result. Strange, you would think more area, more contact, less resistance.
Great for marketing though... and the dual hole (4 total) packs.

Those are a nice find for someone that runs both 4mm & 5mm packs though disaster

I got some 4/5 mm bullets, put them on all my cars so I don't have worry about it anymore.

I believe it was a TQ racing product. But I don't have the package anymore.
