Most restrictions have been lifted on shipping the battries. the last couple I recieved were via ground shipment. Just pack them in a box and mail them as normal. Just package them so the battery is not banging around.

Bingo. Have received up to 4s (multiples) via USPS. Package better than normal and have the battery at storage voltage and you should be fine.

I ship via USPS. The box is supposed to be labeled "Lithium Battery Inside". Has to go ground.

Really? I have shipped a lot of lipos. All i do is. USPS small flat rate. Put the lipo in storage mode. put in the box, print the label and have them pick it up.

I recently shipped some lipo batteries. They asked if I was shipping lithium polymer batteries. I replied yes. He asked if it was connected to a device. I replied no. He said it's ok to ship priority as long as it's not connected to a device.

I would recommend not shipping like the recent Slash auction I won. One soft pack, two hard case packs, one with a cracked case, rolling around in a large box with a Slash, wires, plugs, cotter pins, parts, and uncooked rice.

Was there some hope the rice would be cooked?

It would have been okay if the rice had been bagged at least. It poured out of the box onto my floor. If it hadn't been in contact with all the junk, it could have been edible!

I have had the same experience, I would add that after purchasing used lipo's in the past and having 2 turn out a little thicker than desired. In both cases the thicker one didnt seem to have a storage charge (closer to 4.00) while the others in the same pkg "with" a storage charge or closer to, didnt have any issue. Coincidence? I don't think so, but who knows for sure? I keep my packs at or very near a storage charge and have sold plenty used lipos and (knock on wood) haven't had a puffer from here to there..
