If the fronts are unpowered then they are moving with the vehicle.. no faster no slower.. so if you compare the rear wheels with that speed you know whether there is wheel spin or not and can adjust power accordingly.

If slipper clutches were designed as traction control devices you would have people besides novices and below average club racers using it as so. Slippers are too inconsistant to be used as traction control. I would have liked to have seen a driver's slipper pads if these guys were using slippers to control traction at the Worlds.

Regarding the traction control devices, I'm glad they are illegal and show me no interest what so ever. What is the point in having something that controls the throttle automatically? I thought the racers were supposed to be driving the cars, not a computer.

Trouble is if the track has such little grip as this one, then the tyres will still spin before the slipper.

and here is a definition of a Slipper Clutch from Traxxas " The purpose of the slipper clutch is to regulate the amount of power sent to the rear wheels to prevent tire spin. Think of it as adjustable traction control. The Slipper also helps prevent damage to gears and driveshafts by reducing the shock loads transmitted to the drivetrain in situations such as landing from a large jump with the throttle held wide open. "

seems we were all right

And as for traction control, think about it, if it weren't for people trying to develop new ideas ( in r/c and full size cars) we wouldn't have 4wd, abs, 4ws, etc etc.

In regards to the 5 cells legality, rules mention cars have to be driven by a maximum of 6 cells.

Reasoning why the 5 cell configuration was choosen sometimes is that the track changed a lot, it became super slippery at times. If you changed slipper, its hard to find the right settings again quickly. Changing the motor is very critical too. Changing a wire quickly is very very easy.... for example Hara used 5 cells in controlled practise, and 6 cells in all the A mains (as the blue groove appeared again)

Bingo???... Isnt that for the old granny games? Maybe your too for this kindda stuff eh fugly?

Like i said, we're in the middle of a rather technical debate here, if your idea of posting is to re-post race results that is like hours later which you cant even get right (i might add) then i suggest you go back to your own little thread and post amongst those morons you normally hang out with. Your level of mentality doesnt fit here, unless you got something constructive to contribute to the thread i suggest you just sit there and read and you might just learn something. Too bad your always playing catch up and all you can post all day long is race results and pathetically try to wind someone up eh stealth?

Too bad you cant take a little heat and suck it up eh fugly?!!
