Hello ppl with DT03, can anyone tell me if the Carbon shock tower that is made for the DT-03 would fit on the shock tower of the DT-02

- Of course, the plastic tower would need a bit of modification, but to replace the brace, the DT03 tower would be a good option, and if i cut off the shock mounts on the plastic part, i would get more hole positions, but it's the strength that i want. Does it somewhat align with the plastic towers?

Can anyone tell me if the tamiya rims support "standard" 2wd buggy tires from Pro-line/J-Concepts/Schumacher?

I just saw this thread. Here are some pics of my DT03. At the track i visit it seems you have to love em or hate em. I love mine. Solid runner with a 8.5t sensored!😃

Outstanding! I love mine, but I am just running a Tamiya brushed GT Tuned 25T motor and sometimes a Super Stock BZ 23T motor.

Cool. Our track is fast, long straights, sweeping turn and a tabletop jump before the "slow" section. But i guess an 8.5 is a little too much. Heaps of wheel standing, heaps of fun.I used hopups from my old DT02 runner, sway bars, aluminium shocks, uprights. I also picked up the DT03 carbon shock towers just cos they look cool! I havnt had many packs through mine but it seems to hold up ok so far. No regrets here!!😀

Has anyone sorted a good setup for carpet/astroturf?

I'm looking for a cheap entry in 2wd buggy, and this one would be perfect, price-wise, but the review I read (I guess we've all read it, from earlier in this thread) said that the long wheel base makes for horrible steering on carpet...

Honestly, I would look at something else. I have a DT02 and 3 and neither are up to snuff when it comes to race track duty. The DT03 is very light in front and heavy in the rear so it would need alot of weight to get it to turn.

You would be much better off getting a used RB6, B5M or 22 3.0 than trying to make the DT03 track worthy.

There's a fair amount of space to get the CG forward. On the DT-02 I have ultra shorty pack and I have that moved fully forward. It helps the turning a lot.

I just finished my body, waiting for my bearings before i start building the kit. i Actually bought two, so i have some spare parts :-)

I like the body of fighter buggy more, so i choose that body, but the front tyres of the racing fighter seem to be a bit better for astro. At my rc track they started a stock DT-03 class.

I’m curious on what the difference is between the Racing Fighter and Neo Fighter. Does the Racing have a lighter body?

Well personally i like the small look of the Neo Fighter more then the Racing Fighter. On the Astro track i drive, the front tires of the Racing Fighter seem to be better for astro. The tyres of the Neo fighter, looks more like a dirt front tyre.
