Here in the midwest we routinely have 2 heats of wheelers and actually the losi's are starting to make ground in numbers against the AE as they are doing very well! Yeah, some initial issues are showing up, but they will go away soon I would think. They need to soften the plastic in the arms a schoosh and they may have overhardend the axles. I still think a Tekno would waste them!!

I'd love to have one, I think they'd be really popular!

I think IF they did a 1/10th scale 4WD buggy they would sell a CRAP TON of them!

BTW: The new Durango (DEX410V4) has 3 fluid filled gear diffs.

You might want to check that again front and rear gear center is slipper ( http://www.team-durango.com/race-cars/dex410v4/ ) TWO WAY SLIPPER. And yes I do believe if TEKNO came out with a 10th 4wd they would sell like hot cakes and be very competitive against everything else out there right now. And the best thing is if they did go 3 fluid diffs no flat balls or slipper to mess with and more predictable adjustments that can be done. Less maintenance needed!

Everyone that I race with owns an sct410 and we all love them. If tekno came out with a wheeler, all those guys would be on them like white on rice!

if tekno came out with a 4wd 1/10 with 3 gear diffs the tekno and hb would put a hurting on the other buggies. i think the class would grow everywhere. I think the reason a lot of people are hesitant now are because how fragile the existing buggies are with the exception of the xb4 its tough now they have fixed some issues

To quote a (tlr driver) friend of mine who shall remain nameless (Tekno doesn't need to pay big name drivers to win championships or any other fancy gimmicks cause their stuff just works and everyone knows it) Of course if Tekno released a wheeler or any other vehicle I'm sure it would be as amazing and innovative as the rest of their products and I would be buying it however I prefer Tekno as they are a smaller company focused on their products and customers who is always improving and evolving their current products

i agree 100%. for me, i care far more about what the fast guys at my local tracks are running, than what cav and tebo do at the worlds. the local fast guys will help me with setup (curtis door was VERY helpful to me with my EB48 at a club race not too long ago). if i was starting an RC kit company, i would do exactly what tekno is doing for sponsorships. give them to the local fast guys who are also good guys and willing to be an ambassador for the brand as well as the hobby. those are the guys who sell kits, and they're selling them to guys who will own the kits longer than a month, unlike the flavor of the month guys who will buy whatever is new and whatever won the nats (we all know these guys). that and building quality kits is how you develop brand loyalty. let the big 3 piss their money away on the top talent.

I agree with that! most people will never be able to compete at that level of Cav, Tebo, Lutz and Mayfield and that but at your local track your always going to look at what the top drivers are throwing down on the track. I went to my first in-door nats in Conn. last year and heard a couple of the fully sponsored pros say that the track was loose yet the setup I had and tires and that me and my group we were all traction rolling. So a pros version and others versions are going to be totally different. Now at your local tracks that dont have fully sponsored drivers are going to help more cause your running the same surface as them all the time. I have several fast fast guys at my track that are really looking for a 3 fluid diff wheeler right now. And have said plenty of times if TEKNO came out with one they would pick it up in a heart beat.

This is a great thread. I own A d413 and I would have gone tekno if a buggy was available.

The D413's such a tough car I just tell myself Tekno would have released something very similar... drive the wheels off yours with confidence!
