Default rc choice for running on 1/10 tracks + having fun

Hi I'm looking for an rc car for:

- offroad on 1/10 outdoor astro tracks mainly and sometimes clay
- onroad on a little indoor carpet track
- onroad on a parking lot or skatepark

what I'm looking for:

- fun factor
- durability
- cheap parts

what type of rc would you suggest? I'm a racer but this one would be to have some fun just about everywhere (no big track though, I have 1/8 e-buggies for this)

2wd sct? Seems like it would be perfect, maybe something with a plastic chassis for the asphalt of the skatepark.

it would be an option, the only thing is that our indoor carpet track will be very tight for a sct

was thinking about a mini buggy like the losi mini eight, tacon soar or carisma gtb

it's really just to have fun

Pound for pound the mini eight is impressive. I have seen it run just fine on grown up tracks.

I would just go with a 1/10 buggy things are a blast to drive the new b5 from associated looks way more durable than they used to be
Not to sure how much fun it would be on asphalt maybe with a go fast motor.

Slash 2wd XL-5. This was a really fun truck for me. Super durable, parts are dirt cheap, millions of upgrades, and even the electronics are decent. You can run it anywhere. Not the greatest racer, but if that's important to you the LCG chassis would be a good upgrade.

I gotta second the merv. It can be so many things . The mini 8's in my life have all been very fragile .

I have to say , if you can only have one rc ( buti know you will have several) its hard to beet a 4x4 stampede on 3s .

I had a merv (it was our first brushless car) but when I meant having fun it wasn't hard bashing, actually I will run it more on tight astro or carpet tracks..which is why I decided to give the LC Racing EMB1 (Tacon Soar) a go

this one is modded with added parts and I bought it RTR for about 140$ so it was hard to beat

here is a vid of what these little beasts are capable of:

I like very nimble rc cars as I'm used to 1/12 pan cars
