It says for subscribed members only when you try to view. I really don't feel like paying to participate in a forum when there are so many free alternatives.

select the abalone format

select read anonymously

hit enter conferences.

look for the ROAR president forum

It's free to read and paste. They had some unknow people casuing trouble so it's not instant sign anymore. If you send me the above info I can get you in pretty quick.

The grid is a blast, there are no edit buttons or closed down forums there.

Tres send me the info and I guarantee you will be able to post on the grid. You may not be able to post on the roar threads if you are not a member. However if your are a ROAR member send me your number and I can get you hooked up there as well.

Homer,

It's obvious that you are one of the primary reasons the forum was shut down here. It certainly wasn't my choice -- somebody apparently was threatening Dawn or something.

Now, your next move is to start telling the users here to go post at a different forum instead? So you can keep doing whatever it was that drove ROAR away from here? I have all the respect in the world for Mike and Sgrid, but still, that's just low.

No wonder people are making threads against you.

I'm the same jerkoff that ask YOU for a ROAR member forum and you declined.
I'll take my hits elsewhere.

I declined that out of respect for ROAR, it had nothing to do with you. Maybe at some point in the future I will make one, but not while people are getting threatening calls that reference this site.

First I do not believe any threatening calls exist. I want to see a police report to convince me.

I send people to this site all the time and yet I'm the jerk off. I will continue to send people here for information, despite the fact that I'm a jerkoff.

In all my posts on the ROAR threads. I never used the childish name calling that you just did. Very professional for a critic!

Yes, I called you a jerkoff but I thought better of it and edited it all of 10 seconds later. So, allow me to correct myself: you are a jerkoff. Sorry for the confusion.

I'm just getting in touch with my inner child.

My initial reaction to checking out this thread, which turned into an advertisement for another site, was "Boy, I should ban this guy right here and now and be done with it." But I didn't. That doesn't mean I have to be happy about it. ROAR has its problems, true, but having them on here benefited us all -- or at least I like to think it did. I don't know who was directly responsible for Rick, Dawn, and the rest to decide they no longer wanted to be here, but I have a few good ideas.

Anyway, I'm not going to get in a pissing match with you on here. I wouldn't feel right about making a ROAR forum without their consent, so I won't. If they don't want to be on here, that's their choice, although I hope they will change their position.

In the meantime, there is no need for people to go to any other site to talk about ROAR. Anybody can talk about ROAR all they want on here. Your comment of "Post over there, there are no closed threads and no edit buttons" implies that stuff is censored on R/C Tech, which it is not. In the ROAR forum, ROAR could moderate it as they see fit, but if you'd like to say something about ROAR you can certainly post it somewhere else on the site.
