Default Radio and Receiver compatability

Does anyone know if you can mix and match receivers and radios as long as they are the same frequency? I have a 27MHz JR XR2i radio with a R125 receiver in my XXXT. I am getting ready to put together an RC18T and first of all would like to know if an R125 receiver would fit in the RC18T. The second thing is would a micro receiver that operates at 27MHz work with the JR XR2i radio?

Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

As long as its a 27mhz AM receiver it should work. You would probably need a jr crystal though.
