Default TLR Eight T 2.0 E question??

I need to know what spur gear to use with the losi
Conversion kit. I used the 50 T metal one from the
nitro kit with some spacers for clearance. Is anyone
using the 45 T plastic gear? Is the plastic strong
enough for the larger truck? Going down 5 teeth
too much for the larger tires?? 1900KV on 4S lipos.
Thanks

I used the 45 t plastic spur. With a castle 1800 it was fine on the track . However , everytime I ran in the grass it stripped the spur gear. I went through 4 of them . Ended up using the stock 45t buggy steel spur . worked perfect .

I have run 40 series trenchers on the 45 tooth spur at the beach and in the yard and never had a gearing issue. I dont recall the pinion , but I used whichever one got me 40mph with the 45tooth spur using this site . As long as your FDR is the same as what you have now , thern you should not have any problems.

Thanks, I run the plastic 45t on my buggy with no issues.
The heavier truck & larger tires had me question it.

I toasted 2 plastic spurs in the first 2 runs on my 8-T. I had 2 other electric 1/8 scales with plastic spurs that ran with no problems but not the Losi.

I switched to the 45T steel gear and have had no problems since.

Thanks for the info, looks like the metal 45T will do.
