I have a relatively new Traxxas N. Rustler. It has the TRX 2.5 right now, but I want to put a larger/faster engine in the TRX's place. I read that at New Era Models website there is a .26 conversion kit for the Ofna Picco Max .26 engine w/2.5 hp and 35,000 rpm. In theory this would go slower than the TRX 2.5 because the 2.5 has more RPM, but I could mess with the gearing for the extra low end on the .26. Would this be a good way to increase power a ton? It only cost 175 for the engine, and 30 for the conversion kit.

If this doesn't sound good I was thinking about the O.S. .18 TM. This would drop right into my existing motor mounts I believe. This is 220 dollars, which is a lot more for less power than the .26. Which sounds like a better way to get more power for my truck?
