Started with 7k/3k and i felt the front was really to aggressive so i thickened up the rear to get rid of some of that, buggy really mellowed out with the thicker rear oil

Default TM4 Lexan Body

I did not check previous pages in this thread to see if it was mentioned already, but the TM4 manual shows the body to be part number TB401, which is a misprint.

The correct part number is T04165 for the TM4 body.

Are these kits coming with the TS413 Steel Gear 16T/40T? I have a TS4 and would like to upgrade to these with the new center driveshafts.

http://www.teamcracing.net/index.php...mart&Itemid=71

Also I see there will be a center diff for this car. My understanding is that if you want to use the center diff with the updated TS413 Steel Gear 16T/40T, then there is an entirely different set of CVDs.

So..

For a TM4 with a Slipper Clutch you would need.

TS413 Steel Gear 16T/40T (x2)

TU0452 Steel Gear CVD 88mm (x1)

TU0451 Steel Gear CVD 78mm (x1)

OR..

For a TM4 with a Center Diff you would need

TS413 Steel Gear 16T/40T (x2)

TU0457 Steel Gear CVD 63mm (x1)

TU0458 Steel Gear CVD 105mm

Thanks

The current TM4 does not come with TS413. I would probably recommend using a TS413 and TU0451 on the front of the TM4. Trouble is I cannot find any in stock yet.

+1 i keep losing front pinions which is weird, you would think the rear would go first. last swap i made the mesh tight and it made it thorugh the rest of the day. original lasted for weeks first change lasted one pack and now it seems to be ok. i did notice that on the new ones i received they look different and are a different color so maybe they made a running change. The center dif should really keep pinion damage to a minimum.

We had a grand opening on a new track yesterday. it is a 1/10 only track and has great grip. TM4 dominated qualifying with the only car to run in the 18's as well as 16 total laps! I even ran the TeamC tires which were killer but right before the main it started to drizzle which made the dirt stick to the tires, i managed to pull off a second place finish and would have been first but got caught up in lap traffic while battling with the leader! I ended up raising front roll center all the way and lowering rear roll center all the way. doing this dropped 3 tenths off of my lap times. I am starting to think the car needs some flex in the chassis and will make some new upper decks to see how it feels next time out.

there are a few of them running at my local track and they are holding up really well, I broke a front arm this week when I caugth a screw holding down the pipe, it basically sheared part of the arm off, but the thing was it kept running, I ran a full pack after before I realized it was even broken, got back to my bench and was doing something else and realized a chunk of the arm was gone lol,

they handle great and are very easy to work on, the hinge pin holders are so nice for adjusting toe/kickup

If your coming from a ZX5 the gear difs alone will make you happy!!

So i am sitting here drawing up some upper flex decks and then it dawned on me that the CVD lengths needed for the center dif are standard lengths off of different teamC vehicles! so i found a 105 and 63mm. Since i am going to make upper decks anyway i think i can convert my TS4 center dif to fit on the TM4!! the only tricky part is the actual spur gear but i can machine that too, i may have a temporary center dif by this afternoon!!

Well good news is that i got most of it done except for the upper deck but bad news is that the 74mm front shaft will not be available until next month (which is probably the same time the dif will be released). I thought it was supposed to be 63mm but thats too short. I took the TS4 spur gear machined it down and then designed some cool looking billet delrin 48p gears. the 2 pc design is cool because if you manage to strip a gear you can replace it without taking the dif apart. Not sure how the factory unit is going to be designed, maybe its the same way. I am not selling any of this stuff, 4w mod is getting serious around here and i need to lay the smack down!! Not sure how I am going to figure out the front shaft issue yet , may have to do some TIG welding on a shaft!!
